Emilio de la Morena is a Spanish-born, London-based artist and fashion designer who recently graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Graduate Diploma in Fine Art. Born in Albacete in 1973 and raised in Alicante, he initially studied economics at the University of Alicante before shifting to fashion, training at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion, and honing his craft under Jonathan Saunders and Mishiko Koshino.
He launched his eponymous womenswear label in 2007, gaining acclaim for sculptural silhouettes, intricate craftsmanship, and a fusion of Spanish heritage with contemporary design. His collections appeared at London Fashion Week and were worn by Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lana Del Rey. Since 2020, de la Morena has focused on visual art, exploring painting, ceramics, sculpture, and photography. His work reflects his Spanish roots and London experience, combining technical skill with bold, tactile, and visually engaging forms.
