The 🦊 Filthy Fox Auction Club 🦊 (FFAC) is an artist-run auction platform based in London, founded by us friends Alexandra Hochgürtel and Paula Parole, driven by our shared passion for emerging art and creating new opportunities for artists.🐿
Being part of London’s art school ecosystem, it became clear to us how difficult the jump from graduation into the 🌪 “real” art world 🌪 can be. At the same time, many people who would love to buy art feel intimidated by the traditional art market, or assume it’s far beyond their reach...
So we decided to build a bridge. 🐬
Through lively auction events across London, FFAC introduces a carefully ✨hand-selected✨ mix of emerging artists and art graduates from London’s leading art schools - to a growing community of collectors, creatives and curious first-time buyers.
Artists receive 100% of the hammer price, keeping things fair and accessible. 🎯 A 30% buyer’s premium is added on top to cover our costs.
Our unique model allows artists to set their own starting price, on their own terms. 💣️ The starting bid isn’t a fixed market value - it’s a minimum price the artist is willing to offer in trust and goodwill, creating a rare opportunity for new collectors while keeping art collecting accessible, transparent, and exciting for everyone.
Filthy Fox auctions are more than just auctions. It’s where London’s emerging art scene comes together 🔥 where you can spotlight fresh talent 🌱🌷and a lively, slightly mischievous crowd. We like to think of our events as a fresh, slightly filthy wind blowing through the white-walled art world.🌬🌪

🧹️ We want to dedust art auctions and make them sexy again! 🧹️

Paula Pfitzner, Co- Founder
As an actively practicing artist who studied in London (MFA, Central Saint Martins), Paula Parole is closely aware of the challenges many artists face after graduation. Finding opportunities to show and sell work while maintaining artistic integrity can be difficult at this early stage of a career.
Alongside her own artistic practice, Paula has gained experience within the art world through roles at several leading institutions. She worked as an art mediator at the Boros Collection in Berlin, assisted the German auction house Grisebach, and supported an established antique and art gallery at TEFAF Art Fair. These experiences provided her with valuable insight into the commercial structures of the art market.
Seeing both the magic and the madness of the art world sparked Paula’s desire to create something different - and a lot more fun. With Filthy Fox Auction Club, she pushes back against the stiffness and exclusivity of the traditional art market, creating a space where emerging artists and curious collectors can meet on equal footing.

Alexandra Hochgürtel, Co- Founder
With a background in Design Management and Graphic Communication Design (MA, Central Saint Martins), Alexandra Hochgürtel brings a strong understanding of the creative industries and how ideas move from concept to audience. Through both her studies and professional experience, she has developed a keen sensitivity for how creative projects can connect people and generate meaningful engagement.
Her graduate project already explored alternative ways for artists and art enthusiasts to exchange value outside the traditional gallery system - an idea that naturally aligns with the spirit of Filthy Fox. Alexandra instinctively recognises the importance of creating spaces where artists and audiences can meet more directly, and how these groups often struggle to find the right channels to connect.
Alongside her creative work, Alexandra has professional experience as a Design Manager, consulting architects and designers throughout different stages of the design process. This role sharpened her ability to navigate complex creative projects, coordinate between different stakeholders, and bring ideas into reality - skills that she now brings to the lively world of Filthy Fox Auction Club.
