Finn Smith Ogg

Finn Smith Ogg is a recent BA Fine Art graduate from Central Saint Martin, UAL - based in London. The aim of his work is to create a window through which lived experience can be viewed, a story told in metaphors and optic vernacular, a translation of experience to initiate cognition. Like preserved remains in amber. His works are intended to represent moments paused in time, have the quality of ambiguous age, the resemblance of erosion, damage, and wear,  representing the survival of the impression of a memory indented. Each image is a frame in a flickering, moving picture, a story fragmented and emblazoned onto plaques. Headstones for echoes of visual remembrances, commemorated. The framework of his practice exists through a system of visual communications, symbols, shapes, and colours representing aspects of the landscapes of his memory.
